Transcribe an episode from your audio file
Upload an MP3, WAV or OGG recording. Choose the recognition language, and enable speaker separation for a host-and-guest conversation. When the job finishes, open the transcript and replay the sections you plan to quote.
Use the episode audio version that you intend to publish. If you remove an introduction or insert an advertisement after transcription, timestamps from the earlier file may no longer match the published episode.
Keep a guest’s answer in context
A search result or a memorable sentence can point you to a useful moment, but it may leave out a qualification from the next sentence. Review the surrounding exchange before copying an excerpt into an article, newsletter or episode description.
Speaker separation labels voices rather than verifying guest names. Match the labels to the participants yourself. Check proper nouns, product names and technical terms against your episode notes.
Use the transcript beyond the episode
- Draft an episode description from the generated summary, then edit it for your audience and verify any claims.
- Use timestamps to find moments for further editing in your preferred audio or video editor. TranscribeX.ai does not cut or publish clips.
- Export a Word transcript on Basic or Pro when you need a document for editorial review.
- Export SRT on a paid plan when your publishing workflow accepts subtitle files. Import and check the file in the destination editor; export does not publish captions to a podcast feed.
Check recording length and delivery needs
Free provides 30 minutes of transcription each month and supports files up to 30 minutes and 200 MB. Basic supports two-hour files up to 500 MB with 600 minutes per month; Pro supports four-hour files up to 1 GB with 2,000 minutes per month.
Files remain private by default. If you choose to share a result, a read-only link can be revoked later. Review a transcript before making any guest conversation public, particularly when the raw recording includes material edited out of the episode.

Will it identify my host and guest by name?
No. Speaker separation produces labels such as Speaker A and Speaker B. Verify who is speaking yourself.
Can it generate podcast show notes?
The Summary feature generates an overview, key points and to-dos from the transcript. You can use that as a starting point for manually edited show notes; automatic chapters and publishing are not promised.
Are podcast transcript exports free?
DOCX and SRT export are available on Basic and Pro. The Free plan includes 30 transcription minutes per month.
